Biography of Lane Garrison You know the story: broken family, troubled teenager; gets in trouble with the law, petty thief by his own description, does what he can to survive and learn the ways of life. Just trying to make it through, they say. Whatever becomes of this teenager? Who does he become, who does he grow up to be? Lane Garrison. Unfortunately Lane is this kid. But with a happier story than “the end.” His parents split when he was younger, so when he was growing up he became his own person, even if that meant stealing and getting into – by his own admittance – a lot of trouble with the law. It got to be so bad and consecutively repeating that the last time he did it, his own mother turned him into the cops! Needless to say, that ended the crime spree. At the age of 19, he started writing screenplays that got picked up with interest from production companies and for the next few years writing and acting in small roles both on film and on television, growing up was no longer about stealing, but portraying. Lately his late portrayal of Tweener on FOX’s hit Prison Break is the most dominant role Lane can be associated and identified with by fans to date. Playing an inmate who is trying to be his own person but yet still fit in with the crowd relates closely with how the actor grew up, minus the prison part. It’s a role that has him acting among big stars with a long resume to their names, and yet allows him to not feel like he’s discredited for that same reason. With the recent passing of both of his parents, filming for the second season of Prison Break back in his hometown of Dallas, Texas, we can only bet is bittersweet. And while we cannot decree anything we haven’t read in interviews or articles and call it truth, we wish to just extend to Lane our most personal thoughts and best wishes for a great career and a hopeful life. We also hope that Lane’s screenplays get picked up by generous production companies and that his writing and acting get both noticed and appreciated even more than they have been recently. And that his life
ends with a happily set “the end.”
